Angelo da Silveira
Angelo da Silveira´s family started a new life as political refugees in Sweden 1997, far from their native Togo in West Africa. In his early years, Angelo dreamed of bringing a cross-cultural perspective to Swedish Fashion. Undeterred from gatekeepers, he followed his passion, learning his craft not from an institutional structure but through a ”learning by doing” mindset inherited from the streets.

Venturing into the fashion industry, Angelo da Silveira became a pioneer for the new wave of Scandinavian creatives with a cross-cultural heritage and outside-in point of view.
da Silveira has also become an ambassador in an industry that still has challenges with representation. Angelo works for equality, social sustainability and ethical production through the Diemonde founded micro-factory Fugeetex, located in his hometown Örebro. Fugeetex is a micro factory where refugees living in Sweden, with highgrade craftsmanship skills can bring in their expertise while creating financial independence for themselves.
da Silveiras way of creating change using fashion as a spaceship have been acknowledge with awards from Boozt New Talent 2021, Marianne and Sigvard Bernadotte Royal Art scholarship 2020, a seat at the board of Swedish Fashion Association 2020, listed as top 50 on the prestigious list of the 100 most powerful personalities within Swedish fashion 2022. Each of these projects carries DIEMONDE’S identity and ways of operating in a future Fashion industry.

Grönt val, miljösmart, bra val, hållbar. Det är några av de olika begrepp som idag möter konsumenter när de ska välja leveransalternativ vid onlineköp. Alla dessa val skapar inte bara en oklarhet för konsumenterna utan har också väckt frustration från branschen som har saknat en gemensam terminologi kring betydelsen av begreppen.

”Nu krävs kreativitet för ökad lönsamhet”
Maya Delorez, som efter bara fyra år omsätter 100 miljoner, är till stor del byggd via sociala medier. Grundaren och VD:n Madelene Törnblom är fortfarande ansvarig för allt content och säger att ”bra innehåll är det som gör att du säljer och sociala medier är det enda gratisverktyget på marknaden.” På D-Congress berättade hon om hur.
