IKEA Festival – a home tour around the world

IKEA Festival was a home tour around the world celebrating the power of opening doors to new experiences and creating a better life at home. During the festival, homes and neighbourhoods were turned into virtual stages for new experiences. In a way, this was something entirely new for us – a video-centric experience online, where creative partners and consumers were at the centre – but in other ways, it was core IKEA. How does one create a global experience while there is a pandemic ongoing? What did we learn along the way? And was it a success? Join us to find out!

Felicia Asklund is the Event Manager at IKEA Marketing and Communication AB in Älmhult, Sweden, a company that supports all IKEA markets around the world with marketing and communication. She started her IKEA journey in 2016 and has been working with various projects connected to IKEA corporate and press events, as well as global launches. Last year, Felicia was responsible for delivering the first IKEA Festival. In this global 24-hour live stream, we, at IKEA, visited people in their homes all around the world.
